Claims Made Policy Issues
Claims Made policies present some unique issues not only during the policy period, but also at certain critical points in time: renewal, when writing a new policy, when a client is acquired or discontinues operations, or when it is BOR’d. We will review issues such as reporting of claims/circumstances, switching carriers, polling (when and why), warranty statements and applications, tail coverage, client education, and typical differences among lines of coverage.
