MindWell: Innovation for Behavioral and Mental Health

As the health care landscape rapidly changes, our perceptions of care are also transforming beyond physical health needs to encompass the whole individual. Health & Human Services organizations are embracing this trend by tailoring care to address how physical, mental and social aspects are intrinsically intertwined in the overall wellbeing of consumers and their own employees. By implementing a truly holistic and integrated approach, rather than a one-size-fits all strategy, HHS organizations can more acutely provide for each person’s unique needs and efficiently deliver better outcomes.

In conjunction with World Mental Health Day, the MindWell Forum will bring together leaders from a variety of fields to examine the technologies and advancements that can dramatically improve mental and behavioral health for residents, consumers and even those HHS employees who provide care. The engaging discussion will cover forward-thinking topics such as mental health focus and new regulations in skilled nursing; educating staff on key mental health symptoms to prevent a crisis; technologies and testing to include in care and support plans; and best practices in trauma informed care.

The interactive forum will provide attendees multiple opportunities to collaborate with presenting speakers, with the goal of developing actionable insights that can be leveraged directly to improve the health and wellbeing of those individuals they serve, including their own team members.
