“Ensuring Workforce Resilience: Facing Challenges with Organizational Vigor”
Today’s workforces are expected to operate in an increasingly demanding environment and show resilience to mounting psychological burdens. Combined with the stresses of fast-paced social media as well as family and home, there is substantially more risk to both mind and body. These exposures impact engagement, judgment, decision-making, situational awareness, empathy, and physical health. Organizationally, the cumulative stress and traumatic circumstances lead to systemic dysfunction, poor team performance and problematic customer service.
Most organizations are overwhelmed and unsure of what steps to take. An employee assistance program is essential, but is not sufficient to cover the scope and complexity of organizational risk. This forum brings these challenges to life with case vignettes and then moves to concrete steps for meeting those challenges with state of the art science. Audience interactivity and discussions will provide robust thinking and imagination so that participants have a way forward to advocate for vigorous responses that fit their specific contexts.
